THE FACE BEHIND THE NAME

GET TO KNOW YOUR ARTIST.

The artist other vendors trust to keep the morning running smoothly.

Hi, I’m Sarah - a bridal hair and makeup artist, founder of Glow, and self-confessed perfectionist when it comes to wedding mornings.

I’ve been in the beauty industry for over 10 years and have had the privilege of working on more than 300 weddings across South Africa (and beyond!). Over time, I realised that what brides need isn’t just beautiful hair and makeup - they need someone calm, experienced, and completely in control of the morning.

That’s where I come in.

The kind of experience you can feel.

My style leans modern, clean, and timeless, but what sets my work apart is the experience I create. I run a structured, professional system behind the scenes so that everything flows smoothly - timelines, communication, logistics - all of it handled, so you can relax and enjoy the moment.

I take my role seriously, but I don't take myself too seriously! I'm a girls' girl at heart. I'll be your bridal bestie, holding your hand through the process, and being a calm-in-the-chaos friend on the day.

After 300+ weddings, I know what works, what doesn’t, and how to make sure your wedding morning runs beautifully and you can remain present and get to basque in the joy of the day.

On a personal note...

I have ADHD, which means my brain moves fast, my energy is high, and I can juggle a hundred bobby pins at once - but if it’s not written down, there’s a very real chance it will vanish into the void.

So if you ever wonder why I gently nudge clients toward WhatsApp or email instead of phone calls… now you know. It’s not me being difficult - it’s me making sure nothing gets missed and your wedding day runs like a dream.

So who are the "assistant artists" then?

For larger bookings or complex timelines, I curate a small team of trusted assistant artists to work alongside me.  Each team member is carefully selected and trained to uphold the standards, professionalism, and elevated experience my clients expect.  This ensures your morning runs smoothly while maintaining the consistency and quality my brand is known for.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you're thinking it, chances are I'm asked this on a weekly-basis!

CAN I HAVE A TRIAL BEFORE BOOKING?

Trials are reserved exclusively for confirmed brides.
This ensures my availability and allows us to focus on refining your look with your actual wedding day in mind.

WHAT IF I WANT YOU TO TRAVEL TO ANOTHER PROVINCE?

I regularly travel for destination weddings across South Africa and beyond.
Travel and accommodation arrangements will be quoted separately once I have your location and timeline details.

HOW MUCH TIME DO YOU NEED ON A WEDDING MORNING FOR EVERYONE?

As a guide, I allow approximately 45–60 minutes per service.
Your final schedule will be carefully planned in advance to ensure a calm, well-paced, and stress-free morning.

DO YOU WORK WITH ALL SKIN TONES?

Yes — inclusivity and adaptability are a core part of my work.
My kit and techniques are designed to perform beautifully across all skin tones, hair textures, and ages, ensuring every client feels confident and comfortable.

WHAT'S A MINIMUM BOOKING REQUIREMENT?

A minimum booking requirement applies to secure your wedding date, particularly for peak-season weekends.
This helps ensure the time, preparation, and team support needed to deliver a seamless experience for every bridal party.

WHAT'S THE LARGEST PARTY YOU CAN ACCOMMODATE?

With the support of my trusted team of assistant artists, I can comfortably accommodate both intimate and larger bridal parties.
We’ll simply tailor the team size and timeline to suit your group.

WHAT BRANDS DO YOU USE IN YOUR KIT?

My professional kit includes a curated mix of trusted, high-performance brands like MAC, Bobbi Brown, Matrix, Loreal Professional and more, all known for longevity and beautiful photographic results.
Products are selected specifically to suit different skin types, tones, and wedding-day conditions.

WHEN DO WE DO THE TRIAL?

Your trial is typically scheduled 8–12 weeks before your wedding day, once your dress, colour palette, and overall vision are finalised.
This timing allows us to refine your look with clarity and confidence.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK YOU?

Most brides book 6–12 months in advance, especially for peak-season weekends.
Dates are secured on a first-come, first-served basis once the booking fee and signed contract are received.

DO YOU STAY ALL DAY FOR TOUCH UPS?

Touch-up services can absolutely be arranged if you'd like support through photos, pre-ceremony moments, or a look change later in the day.
This is an optional add-on that can be tailored to your timeline.
